Delicately boned with a face that can launch a million products, A student of psychology Amrita was always fascinated by acting, but never in her wildest dreams had she thought that one day she would pursue it - "Especially because I had no contacts in the film industry at all. I thought it was tough battle if one wanted to establish oneself here. I guess I was destined to be here!"

Having modeled for nearly 35 ads, her decision to act in films didn't come as a surprise. What came as a surprise was that unlike other models who dropped out of college to pursue their careers, Amrita Rao preferred to thumb down film offers to complete her graduation in psychology. And she has a word of advise for all those aspiring to make it big in this profession. "Don't be disillusioned and depressed if you don't get a worthy opportunity here. There are other fields you can excel in!"

Her first modeling assignment was for a fairness cream. "When I was told I would have to audition for it, I said, "Audition?" The word itself made me feel jittery. Thankfully I was not camera conscious. The little bit of acting that I did after reading the storyboard appealed to them. I got through it successfully," she laughs. But it was the Close-up toothpaste ad that made her a familiar face in the ad world.

If the Close-up ad fetched her recognition, the Cadbury's Perk ad offered her platform to step into films. "You know Perk and Liril are two brands that get you noticed as a model. The girl always stands out in the ads," she says. Perk had the beautiful but hungry Amrita dressed in bridal attire eagerly waiting for the moon to be seen, but even before it appears her hubby hands her a perk that has a smiling with delight. "Raj Kanwar saw that ad and got touch with me. He told me about Ab Ke Baras and how it was Arya Babbar's launch vehicle and that I was perfect to play the lead opposite him in the film."

She continues, "There are several reasons why I decided to choose Ab Ke Baras as my first film. Firstly Raj Kanwar is one director who has given several hit films like Deewana, Judaai, Laadla. Secondly, I was making a debut opposite Arya, who is Raj Babbar's son, and we all know what an excellent actor Rajji is. And thirdly and most importantly or critically, it is the role that I get to play in the film. Since Ab Ke Baras has a reincarnation theme and I get to portray two different characters in the film. I could not have asked for anything better. Otherwise what do newcomers get to do in their first film-dance over a couple of songs, say a few dialogues and that's it!"

Rajkumar Santoshi approached Amrita after seeing her in a coffee ad. "In fact, Santoshi was one of the directors who had contacted me after watching the Perk ad. I had to turn down his film offer because I wanted to concentrate on my studies. When he approached me for The Legend Of Bhagat Singh, Rajkumar Santoshi made it clear to me that it was very brief role and would not require more than five days to complete it. I agreed immediately because I got to play Bhagat Singh's fiancé. Few know about her. The sacrifice she makes by living as his widow even though they never marry. The character does leave its impact in the film."

Besides Legend Of Bhagat Singh Amrita Rao was also seen in Ken Ghosh's Ishq Vishq. Fortunately for her, the film became a hit. Amrita made her presence felt in the film.

Apart from acting what other hobbies did she pursue? "I like to read! But I don't have the patience to read a whole novel so I prefer to read those books that have stories in them. Like recently I enjoyed reading Chitra Banerjee's book called Arranged Marriage. I also relish reading short stories written by Jeffery Archer." What about film magazines? How did she intend dealing with the gossip press? "It does hurt reading malicious articles especially when people know who you are. I guess I will have to learn to take things in my stride," she smilingly concluded.

After completing her Miss Universe commitments, she received several offers from Bollywood movie makers, and starred in Andaaz in 2003, which won her considerable recognition, and she subsequently won the best female debut award from Femina.

Thereafter, most of her movies failed to make a mark at the box office, however, she did become popular and a household name. Some of the movies she is remembered for are 'Masti', 'No Entry, and 'Kaal'.

As of 2007, her forthcoming movies include 'Partner', 'Hey Baby', 'Jhoom Barabar Jhoom', 'London Dreams', 'Dulha Mil Gaya, amongst others.

It has always been said that in the absence of Spanish cinema glamor of Hollywood, and it is true. Although each year, our actresses are striving to shorten distances. This year, my trial has been surpassed by some kind of a style that has nothing to envy to the U.S.. Despite this there are many other cases and lost a long way to go yet, but they happen.

I tried to collect a few dresses that could be true objects of desire (and others ... not so much):

Goya Toledo with a gorgeous dress Elie Saab Couture. Line mermaid tulle adorned with paillettes and stones. One only criticism: the Loewe handbag blue ink, with all desentona.

Belen Rueda Elegantísima word of honor with a classic red Carolina Herrera New York passion. The risk is not no wins, but neither is wrong.

Elsa Pataky with a spectacular Atelier Versace gown in silk chiffon decorated with colored stones makeup. However, as long tail seems excessive and impractical (as I can see on display when the foot).

Silvia Abascal radiant with a Just Cavalli dress in beautiful cross to the back, but sin of excess glue.

Monica Cruz sophisticated with a word of honor voluminous Dolce & Gabbana. I think it right to detail the romantic loop at the waist but I have never liked the neckline is the bra cups marked with a touch vulgar, but in this case I have to admit that adds something to dress.

Maribel Verdú led an Alberta Ferretti dress with metal applications. Neither I liked the design (too ostentatious tied to the back), neither the material, which appeared in both shone "austronauta.

Manuela Velasco chose a Christian Dior dress from "princess" in a gray that is not conducive to anything his skin color. Somewhat bland.

Gala Evora chose another word of honor elétrico Blue Angel Schlesser. Court spotless, but just as himself.

What is page redirection and why would you want to use it?

Let’s say you rename a page on your website, for whatever reason. Perhaps you decided to revamp your entire naming convention, perhaps you decided to restructure your site and need to move pages into different folders, or you just realized that you are missing valuable keywords.

Let’s elaborate a bit on the keywords issue, since it is part of your search engine ranking success.

Let’s say the page in question is about customized USB drives and you named it page1.htm. Then you read some SEO (Search Engine Optimization) articles and you found out that some search engines use words in the actual file name as search keywords.

Next time you do a Google search, take a look at the results, most will have words in the actual file name (in the URL section) bolded, denoting a keyword match. Your USB drives page will definitely benefit if named something like custom_usb_drives.htm instead.

Now that you renamed your page, you just created a symphony of issues for yourself, for your users and for your position in search engine results.

Linking issues

You will have to point every link on your site to the new page name. If your site is small, it should not be a big deal, but if your site is large, you will inevitably make mistakes, mainly forgetting a link or two.

This will result in visitors getting the dreaded “404 page not found” error when clicking on your links, robots (also know as crawlers or spiders) avoiding you, etc. Also, if you are heavily relying on visitors from search engines, then again, people will get a “404 page not found error”.

Let’s use the previous example, for a long time your page1.htm was indexed by major search engines. If someone types “custom usb drives” in a search engine box, your page shows up on the first search results screen.

That is fantastic, only if someone clicks on the link, they will be pointed to page1.htm, not to custom_usb_drives.htm, because the first page is the one in the search engine’s index. It will take time, sometimes months, before the search engines update their indexes with your new page name.

Lost Page Rank (PR) issues:

Google developed a proprietary algorithm that assigns a Page Rank (PR) to every page on the web. PR is a number from 1 to 10 (10 being the ideal) and is intended to be a representation of how useful and popular a given page is.

PR is influenced by many factors, one of the crucial ones being Link Popularity. Link Popularity is a representation of how many “quality” or “relevant” sites link to your page. Without getting into too much detail, it is increasingly difficult and time consuming to achieve a high PR for your pages, especially if you don’t have a really unique website with exceptional and highly sought after content.

If you are merely operating a commercial site, in a competitive market (such as selling custom branded USB drives, as in our example), then it takes a lot of time and hard work to build a good page PR.

When you rename a page and discard the old page, you also discard the PR of the page. Your renamed page will be seen as a totally new page, with 0 PR.

What is the solution?

I will start by enumerating some of the methods used by the non-initiated.

Not recommended solution 1: Duplicate content.

First thing that probably comes in you mind is: well, why can’t you just duplicate the page and let nature take its course. In other words, you will have two identical pages, one named page1.htm and one custom_usb_drives.htm.

This gives you time to update all links and the search engines will eventually index the new page.

This solution is not viable because search engines will penalize you quite badly, ‘thinking’ that you are trying to scam them by using the ‘duplicate content’ technique.

Not recommended solution 2: Custom error message.

You could create a custom error page. However, you will lose rankings on the next search engine update as the file will appear to be non-existent. As discussed above, it could be some time before the page with the new name will be indexed and will appear in people’s searches. Also, your web site visitors will be frustrated by the fact that they now have to dig through your site to find the desired information.

Not recommended solution 3: An HTML Meta redirect.

You could implement a so called Meta refresh in a blank or customized page that has the name of the old page (in our example, page1.htm) that points to the new page.

The redirect can be instant, or delayed by a predetermine amount of time. The delayed redirect has the advantage that you can place an extra message, such as “please be aware that the page you are looking for changed location….. etc., etc…. you will be redirected automatically to the new location”

In the past, this was probably the most used technique.

Without getting into the mechanics of the Meta redirect, which is basically a META tag statement you ad to your HEADER section, know that there are also Java Script techniques that achieve similar results.

What is bad about this is that this is a technique often used by spammers to trick search engines and it should be avoided, unless the page is in a section of your site that isn’t indexed (also known as spidered or crawled). Search engine spammers create a page that is optimized for certain keywords and phrases - it usually has no real content. The page is then picked up by some search engines, but when a visitor clicks on the search engine entry, they are redirected to another site, often unrelated.

Most search engines have filters to detect this. Using this form of search engine deception will see a site eventually banned or penalized by major players such as Google.

The recommended redirect strategy - 301 Redirect

A 301 redirect is the most efficient, visitor friendly, robot (spider, crawler) friendly and search engine friendly solution around for web sites that are hosted on servers running Apache. If you are not sure, check with your hosting provider.

A 301 redirect is just a set of commands you type into your .htaccess file.

When a visitor (whether human or robotic) requests a web page via any means, your web server checks for a .htaccess file. The .htaccess file contains specific instructions for certain requests, including security, redirection issues and how to handle certain errors.

The code “301″ is interpreted as “moved permanently”. After the code, the URL of the missing or renamed page is noted, followed by a space, then followed by the new location or file name.

First of all, you’ll need to find the .htaccess file in the root directory of where all your web pages are stored. If there is no .htaccess file there, you can create one with Notepad or a similar application.

Make sure when you name the file that you remember to put the “.” at the beginning of the file name. This file has no tail extension.

Some hosting providers offer redirect services through their “control panels”, so you don’t have to perform low level changes on the .htaccess file itself. Instead, they provide a user friendly interface for this.

Check with your hosting provider to see what the optimal way to perform a 301 redirect is in your case. I will continue the article with the barebones solution.

If there is a .htaccess file already in existence with lines of code present, be very careful not to change any existing line unless you are familiar with the functions of the file.

Scroll down past all the existing code, leave a line space, then create a new line that follows this example:

redirect 301 /folder/page1.htm http://www.you.com/folder/custom_usb_drives.htm

It’s as easy as that. Save the file, upload it back into your web and test it out by typing in the old address to the page you’ve changed. You should be instantly and seamlessly transported to the new location.

Notes: Be sure not to add “http://www” to the first part of the statement - just put the path from the top level of your site to the page. Also ensure that you leave a single space between these elements:

redirect 301 (the instruction that the page has moved)
/folder/page1.htm (the original folder path and file name)
http://www.you.com/folder/custom_usb_drives.htm (new path and file name)

The same format applies not only to renamed files, but also to files moved to a different location.

How the search engines treat the 301

The 301 redirect is the safest way to preserve your rankings.

On the next indexing (crawling, spidering), the search engine robot will obey the rule indicated in your .htaccess file and index the new page name every time a link or its internal database tries to access the old page.

In the next update (again, this could take months), the old file name and path will be dropped and replaced with the new one.

Sometimes you may see alternating old/new file names during the transition period, along with some possible fluctuations in rankings as things settle. Don’t panic, this is normal.

Microsoft IIS servers

What if your site is hosted on a Microsoft IIS server instead?

If you have access to the server, do this: In internet services manager, right click on the file or folder you wish to redirect. Select the radio titled “a redirection to a URL”. Enter the redirection page, check “The exact url entered above” and the “A permanent redirection for this resource”. Click “Apply”.

If you do not have access to the server, ask your host to point you into the right direction.

In conclusion, the best and the most transparent way (to both human and robotic users) to rename and move files on your web site, while preserving your search engine ranks is the 301 redirect.

A domain name is the thing that looks like mysite.com. You register these on an annual basis. Domain names can cost anywhere between $10 and $50 per year. I'll show you how to get one for $3.99 (below).	A web host is a company that enables your website to be viewed by the rest of the world, 24/7. A good hosting plan can be anywhere between $5 per month and many thousands per month. Below, I'll show you excellent hosting plans starting from $3.99 per month.	You can either build it yourself or use a website builder. Below, I'll show you an online website builder that includes templates and hosting. And the great thing is, it's cheaper than most hosting plans!

A more detailed explanation of these 3 steps follows.

Step 1: Register a Domain Name

Before you even think about building your website, you should register a domain name. A domain name is the thing that looks like this: "yourdomain.com".

Your domain name represents the URL (or permanent web address) of your website. Therefore, when anyone types in "yourdomain.com" or "www.yourdomain.com", they will see your website.

You register your domain name through a domain name registrar or hosting provider. You simply check that your preferred domain name is available, then register it (online).

Domain names are registered on an annual basis, and you can usually register it many years in advance (or set 'auto-renew').

How a Bill Becomes Law

A bill is an idea for a new law, or an idea to change or do away with an existing law. Hundreds of bills enter the legislative process in West Virginia each time the Legislature meets. Two groups of elected citizens - 34 senators and 100 delegates - study, discuss and vote on bills, and in doing so act for the people of West Virginia. Bills enter the legislative process either through the House of Delegates or the Senate, but to become laws, bills must pass both chambers and avoid a governor’s veto.

The Idea

Anyone can propose an idea for a bill to a legislator - a private citizen, corporation, professional association, special interest group or even a governmental unit. But all bills must be sponsored by one or more legislators to be considered by the Legislature. In the House, the number of sponsors of a bill or a constitutional amendment is limited to seven while the Senate has no limit on sponsorship.

Preparation

Bills may go through the Office of Legislative Services or legislative staff counsel to assure that they are in proper bill form. To draft a bill on a particular subject, the appropriate portion(s) of West Virginia law are combined with the proposed changes. After the draft legislation is prepared, the legislator reviews it and submits it for introduction to the clerk of the chamber of which he or she is a member.

Introduction

Prior to introduction, the clerk identifies each bill with a separate number. This number is used as a reference for the bill throughout the legislative session.

After the bill is numbered, the President of the Senate or the Speaker of the House of Delegates assigns the bill to a committee or committees to be considered. When the bill is formally introduced on the floor of the chamber, the bill number and the committee reference(s) are announced.

Committee Study

Standing Committees are small groups of senators or delegates assigned to study bills involving a particular subject. This process enables a larger number of bills to receive more detailed study than can be done by the entire House or Senate.

Since a committee represents only part of the membership of either chamber, it only can make recommendations about a bill for the full membership to consider. When a committee has completed work on a bill, it files a written committee report that recommends one of the following:

- the bill “do pass” in its original form, or with amendment(s) offered by the committee, or as a committee substitute bill
- the bill be rejected
- no recommendation at all

Some bills “die in committee”, meaning the committee did not have enough time to take up the issue or the committee members decided the bill should not be recommended to the full membership for action.

Floor Action

Once a bill is out of committee, the committee’s recommendation for that legislation is read on the floor of the House or Senate. The Rules Committee of each chamber then determines what bills will be considered and places them on the House or Senate calendar, which is a daily list of bills to be acted on in each chamber. The calendar of bills to be acted on is divided into bills on third reading, bills on second reading and bills on first reading.

Under the State Constitution, a bill is to be read three times. The first reading of the bill is the information stage and alerts membership that the bill will be considered. On second reading, members vote on the committee’s amendment(s) and the amendment(s) individual legislators have proposed to the bill. The vote on passage of the bill takes place on third reading.

Action by the Second Chamber

If a bill is passed by one chamber, it is sent to the other body where it will be referred to committee and the process is repeated.

Conference Committees

If changes are made in a bill by the second chamber, it must be sent back to the first chamber for its concurrence. If the first chamber does not agree and the second chamber refuses to remove the changes it made, a conference committee with an equal number of representatives from both chambers is appointed by the Senate President and House Speaker to work on the differences in the bill.

If this committee reaches a compromise and both chambers adopt the conference committee report, the bill is once again voted on for passage. If a compromise is not reached, then another conference committee may be appointed or the measure dies in committee when the Legislature adjourns.

Action by the Governor

After a bill passes both chambers in the same form, it is sent to the governor. While the Legislature is in session, the governor has five days to approve or veto a bill he or she receives. After the Legislature adjourns, the governor has 15 days to act on most bills. However, the budget bill and supplemental appropriations bills must be acted upon by the governor within five days regardless of when they are received. If the governor does not act within these time limits, bills automatically become law without his or her signature.

Overriding a Veto

If the Legislature is still in session when the governor vetoes a bill, a simple majority vote of the members of both legislative bodies is necessary to override the veto. In cases when a budget bill or supplemental appropriation bill is vetoed, a two-thirds vote of the members of both houses is needed to override the veto.

Most women I know, myself included, may initially decide we'll have sex with a guy, but when we find out he's a bad or a mediocre kisser, we change our minds entirely. We decide we will never have sex with this guy. He won't even get asked for a nightcap, much less for breakfast the next morning. As our lips part while we stand on the doorstep, we will announce that we have an early-morning meeting or (if you were really awful) that we're actually already married to someone else.

What we will never, ever say is, "God, you're a lousy kisser. I was going to have sex with you until just this moment." This is one of the ways in which men and women differ. If a man is very attracted to a woman but discovers she's a bad or mediocre kisser, he'll probably have sex with her anyway if presented with the opportunity. A woman can't get past a bad kiss. Why do plants need animals?

You know that animals need plants. Well, plants need animals too! You see, animals make sure that that plants keep growing. Of course they don’t take care of the plants the way that you and I do. Surprisingly they take care of the plants by eating them. That sweet smelling, juicy fruit tempts the animal. The animal eats it, than they carry it in their bellies until they digest it. Some of the fruit like the pit or the seed can’t be used as energy. Later in the day the animal drops the indigestible seeds onto the ground. This scat (animal poop) has the nutrients to grow a new tree.

I was thinking about these ideas today because, I spent the day with Camilia and Mauro, the scientists who want to find out who eats what in the Pantanal. We went out after a very large rainstorm passed through to look for fruits that were ripe and ready for the animals to eat. We also set up a camera trap. This is one way they find out who is eating the ripe fruit. The cameras take pictures. We put out a big pile of fruit to lure the animals to the bush. We also discovered a large “tapir latrine.” This meant, I figured, that the large piles I thought were rocks, was actually tapir scat. They were happy to collect a lot of scat samples to take back to the lab. I helped collect. It wasn’t as bad as I thought. I had my hand in a plastic bag and it was hard as a rock. I hope next time I get to see the tapir instead.

Animals we saw today were crab-eating fox, deer, feral pigs, and spoonbill (a bright pink bird with a beak that looks like a spoon). The best sighting, at the end of the day, was the scarlet macaws. Two were flying together across the sky while the sun was setting. Their brilliant red feathers flashed like jewelry with the sun’s light. Magnificent

Before you start investing in the stock market it is a good idea to ask yourself, “How does the stock market work?” The answer to this question is simple. Companies go public by offering a specific number of shares in their company to the public through the stock exchange. While this basic description of how the stock market works is adequate enough to understand what the stock market is, to get a better understanding of how it actually works it will be important to learn about some of the terms that are commonly used when discussing the stock exchange including stock prices and market capitalization.

The first term that you may hear when you start learning about how the stock market works is stock prices. Stock prices are the price that a specific stock sells for. This price is set by several market factors including the health of the economy, trading trends, spending trends, and financial or technical reports put out by a company or an independent third party. The next term that you may hear about is market capitalization. Market capitalization is the value of the company or the stock that is being offered. To calculate the market capitalization of a company, or stock, simply use this formula: The number of outstanding shares X the price of the stock = market capitalization of the company.

After you learn about the basics features of the stock exchange you will next need to learn how to buy and sell shares. To buy a stock you will need to establish some kind of investment account. In most cases you will open an investment account with a stock broker that works at a local firm. However, today you can also open an online investment account and make trades without the help of a stock broker. After you have set up your account you will need to fund it before you can make a purchase. Once your account is funded you will be able to enter your order for a stock purchase. When you are ready to sell your shares you will either tell your stock broker that you want to sell X number of shares of Company A, or you will need to enter a sell order via your online investment account.

The stock market does not create anything tangible but to say that it has no "REAL" value is plain ignorance. The stock market is a way for many groups and individuals to provide the capital needed for a company to expand. The stock market is possibly the single most important invention in the history of commerce, right up there with currency.

The prices of stocks and currency are determined by how much someone is willing to pay for them (thats why it is called a market). When companies are not doing well and look as if they will not grow as expected, their stock loses value. Percentages are used to put gains and losses into perspective. For example, if a 5 dollar stock goes up a dollar it looks like less of a gain than if a 100 dollar stock goes up 10 dollars but this is not true because the 5 dollar stock experienced a larger percentage gain. Currencies are traded in the same way. Finally, the NYSE looks at a group of all the stocks traded on the exchange so a loss of 800 points is the sum of all of the stocks on that exchange's change in value. The Internet is a worldwide network that adheres to specific methods of data transfer in order to establish a standardized communication highway. Anyone with access can send and receive information over the Internet by using Internet-enabled software, which understands the online protocols or language of the Internet. But how exactly does it work?

The backbone of the Internet consists of a powerful set of telephone lines including T3 lines, capable of transferring data at a very fast rate of about 45 megabites per second The lines link metropolitan cities and include national access points or feeds. If you imagine a geographic map, they are equivalent major highways, explaining why the Internet is often referred to as the Information Superhighway.

The backbone of the Internet is operated and maintained by various companies and organizations working cooperatively without centralized ownership. Redundancy is built into the backbone of the Internet so that if one or more major lines go down, traffic can be rerouted, much like a traffic detour when a highway is temporarily under construction. While this might slow Internet traffic, it will not ‘break’ the Internet.

And that provides the technology necessary for your computer to hook into the Internet.

So Manners Are Required, Right?

No. An ISP is required.

All those protocols allow computers to communicate. You have a computer. You want to play along. Typically, this is how it works.

Your computer connects to an Internet Service Provider. You may be dialing up or you may be using high bandwidth method, such as DSL or cable, to connect. Your computer connects to your ISP's server. Once there, your ISP provides you with the gateway to connect to any other computer that has opened itself up to the world.

When you type in a domain - such as www.popularimages.info - that domain is translated into a number - the IP address - and you are taken to that specific computer. Once there, your web browser allows you to look at specific files. These files can include programming, text, pictures, sound, or video in various combinations.

And E-mail?

Want a meatspace metaphor? Okay. You write a letter and take it to the mailbox. It sits in the mailbox until the mail carrier picks it up. The address on the front of the envelope directs the letter to a specific person at a specific location. It's taken to the addressee's mailbox and put inside. It sits there until the addressee walks out to the mailbox and gets the letter.

Which is basically how e-mail works. You address the email - myfriend@gmail.com - the part before the "@" signifies the person; the part after the "@" the server. Your e-mail sits in a queue on a computer - called a server - at your ISP. Your ISP sends out all the queued up e-mails. Those e-mails go to the specified servers and then are routed to the specified users. The e-mail sits there until the user goes online to pick up her mail.

That's It

When you access the Internet, you are simply using a series of protocols that have been developed so that you can view, download, and send and receive data from a computer that isn't yours. Pretty cool, eh?

On the surface, a search engine no matter its popularity, doesn't seem like the most profitable of ventures. You type in your query, hit enter and then find your results without making any payment. The oft-overlooked money-making machine for Google is advertising, which allows Google to make its profits off its sites and other sites that participate in Google's advertising schemes.

Search Results

In contrast to other search engines, the sponsored links are never displayed with the other results that your search turns up. Certain search engines take money from websites so that when those websites come up in search results, they appear higher up on the results than other non-paying websites. Google refuses to do this and instead puts the ads alongside the rest of the results, clearly setting them aside as "sponsored links."

AdWords

Google uses an AdWords system that allows a potential advertiser to specify the search terms she would like to specify as the words that, when searched, will display her ads. A flower shop in San Francisco, for example, could have a keyword that involves the city in which it does business and type of business, such as "San Francisco florist."

AdSense

Because of the immense popularity of Google, plenty of customers that want to advertise on the grand frontier that is the Internet. When people pay for these advertisements, that is where Google makes the lion's share of its money. Website owners can also sign up for Google's AdSense program, which includes ads on the website that are contextually relevant. When visitors click on them, all parties make money.

How much does Google charge for a click?

The price advertisers pay for a click depends on a lot of factors and this is where Google is playing smart. They use some sort of bidding system. When you want to advertise with Google, you select keywords you are targeting. Let’s say I own an online guitar store and I want to bring potential customers to my website. I’m going to bid on the keywords “guitar” and “buy guitar” for example. The price I’m going to pay will depend if there is other companies bidding for that keyword. The more companies are fighting for a keyword, the more I’m going to pay for a single click to my website. The price can vary from 0.01$ to 100$ and more. Not to bad for a click hey? Although the idea of making money off of a search engine can be difficult to understand, it all lies in advertising, which allows everyone to benefit. Those who advertise get increased business, and Google gets the money from their payments. Consumers who search for certain products may find it easier to find what they are looking for by using the sponsored links than to pore through all of the results, so it is a win-win-win situation.

Google doesn’t sell any tangible product and that’s the beauty of their business. They sell something that doesn’t really exist. They really sell traffic. It mostly comes down to this: They get paid for sending traffic to other websites. That’s why Google seems to be everywhere now: They have to show substantial growth to their stakeholders and to do that they have to drive more and more traffic to provide more and more advertisement. "Bad Boys".

If you're a woman, you may be saying "hmmm" as you hear these words. You know you shouldn't, but you just can't help yourself.

There is just SOMETHING about these guys that draws you in, even as your head tells you to "beware"!

So, what exactly is the attraction? It's not necessarily that they are more physically attractive or smarter or more successful than the "nice guys". In fact, they can have fewer of these qualities, yet be harder to resist.

So what is it? Let's begin by defining these guys. This term is generally applied to males who treat women poorly. Do these behaviors ring a bell?

calling at 8:30 on a Saturday night to ask if you want to get together
not showing up for a date- followed by no phone call or apology
never having any money when you are out
forgetting or ignoring your birthday and other important dates
flirting openly with other women when you are together
hitting on your good friend(s)
making booty calls at 1am, after they've had a night out with others
is doing time for a serious felony

Instead of asking "what is it about these guys"; let's instead examine what it is about the women who can't resist them. The following are actual statements from women who have a history of attraction to these guys. See if any of these sound familiar.

roles that she has been in throughout her life

If a woman feels good about herself, she chooses a mate who communicates both verbally and non-verbally to her that she is valued and respected. She won't allow this other person to undermine her positive self-worth. She believes in her ability to participate in a healthy, reciprocal relationship.

If she doesn't feel good about herself, she chooses someone who reinforces her negative self-beliefs.

If a woman is capable of true intimacy, she is open to the true availability of the other person. She wants him to be a full and active participant in the relationship. She can allow herself to be open, vulnerable and able to take as well as to receive all that true intimacy offers.

If intimacy is difficult, she choose someone who is distant, hard to connect with and not emotionally and/or physically available.

If a woman has had a healthy role in her relationships since childhood, she will choose someone with whom she can continue this healthy interaction.

If a woman has been too long in the role of rescuer, caregiver or the one who sacrifices for the good of others, this will probably be the role she will seek out in her relationships.

Fortunately, most women fall somewhere in between on these issues. So the task is to evaluate yourself in each area and decide on a course of action that will help you to choose a "nice guy", who stirs your senses and meets your needs while being truly available for a real relationship.

Women are not swept off their feet

Contrary to the romantic notion, women are not "swept off their feet" when they become involved in an affair. In fact women are thoughtful. A 1982 study by Lynn Atwater, Ph.D., indicates that half the women she surveyed knew their affair partner for several months before beginning the affair; the other half knew them for a year or more. On average, they considered having an affair for at least a month before it began and usually discussed the possibility with a friend.

When asked who initiated their affair, one-fourth of the women said they initiated it and half said it was mutual. Men unilaterally initiated fewer than one-fourth of the affairs.

Women are not consumed by romantic love

Women consider romance to be important in both marriage and affairs. However, over 80% say they care for their lover or consider him a friend but are not "in love" with him. Women seek emotional involvement in their affairs, but also limit the level of their feelings.

While sex occurs in most affairs, communication is a feature women value highly. Women want someone to talk to and confide in. Men are more verbally expressive with their lovers than with their wives.

Married Women Prefer Married Men

Married women tend to have affairs with married men - rather than with single men - for several reasons. Married women and married men have a similar amount of discretionary time available. While much of their time may be committed to their families, both can secretly take a few hours to be together during the day, in the evening or on the weekend. Married women believe married men will not become overly dependent on them, that they won't tell and that they are less likely to have a sexually transmitted disease.

Wives believe this type of relationship adds to the stability of their marriage. They also believe their married lovers will be faithful to them.

Working Women

Women who are employed full-time outside the home are more likely to have an affair than full-time homemakers. Travis and Sadd reported that 47% of wives who were employed full-time and 27% of full-time homemakers had been involved in an affair before they were 40 years old.

New Woman magazine found that 57% of employed wives who had an affair met their lover at work. The idea that women can subsidize an ailing marriage with an affair seldom works out. The contrast with a more caring relationship, in fact, makes the marriage unbearable.

Women are more likely to have sex during ovulation, but....

The sexual drives women feel while they are ovulating can easily lead to unwanted pregnancy. U.S. News & World Report states, "Studies of blood typing show that as many as 1 out of every 10 babies born in North America is not the offspring of the mother's husband."

With the comic book genre riding high on the success of movies like “Iron Man ” and “The Dark Knight,” it’s been awhile since we’ve seen something as truly terrible as “Ghost Rider.” That trend doesn’t look to end any time soon, either, as Lionsgate’s reboot of their “Punisher” franchise is far from the low-rent piece of garbage that many were expecting it to be. Following Tom Jane’s decision not to return to the title role, and director Lexi Alexander’s falling out with the studio over the final cut, early buzz wasn't too promising. Nevertheless, “Punisher: War Zone” succeeds in almost everything it sets out to do, and though the film’s over-the-top violence and twisted sense of humor won’t win over many non-fans of the book, it’s still an action-packed guilty pleasure that will serve as a nice distraction for those looking to escape all the hoopla of awards season.
